Jam!

Today I should have been writing, but I'm finding that I'm less than motivated lately. I'm not sure why I'm so down on myself lately, but I am, and that means that the creative writing juices aren't flowing right now.

Instead I made strawberry jam for the first time. Nine and a half jars are now waiting to be consumed over the rest of the winter!



The eight other properly jarred jars (as in properly sealed and preserved) are waiting the required 24 hours before I put them away for the winter. This one and his half-filled brother were unexpected and are now residing in the refrigerator. So, jam is done. Next weekend will be soup. Winter is here and I am settling in against the cold and the snow.
