I am getting really sick and tired of anal people. Or I should say *these* anal people.

Now those who know me know that I can be anal. Hell, anyone who read my "How to Shake Hands" rant *knows* that I am anal. But at least I'm consistent about it.

They give me an assignment and tell me that it's my priority. The next day they ask me why I'm working on project A when Project B should be my priority. They tell me to drop everything and work on project B. Fine, I do so. Then they get mad at me because Project A is not done, ignoring the fact that they told me to stop working on it!

Everything has to be just so, but they can't decide what is just so. My boss tells me one thing, my supervisor says another, and the big boss wants it done in a third way. And now they have me going through old files to get a last few things sent to Archives. They have told me to disregard the fact that Archives has been sent the master list of items being sent to them, and that adding things now violates the archives policies. But to top it all off, they are having me file stuff that is left over from the '98 fiscal year!

I am so glad that I'm done with this next week. I cannot handle working with idiots.

Aww Christ dontcha hate that?

When I was a security guard I had to deal with the "Many Bosses" situation. You had the company itself, the client, the people who worked for the client and all it took was one misstep for me to lose my site and get force-transfered someplace else.

Needless to say that happened to me a lot.

I know how you feel. Your only hope in a situation like that is to try and INSIST that you receive ONE set of instructions from ONE person...but good luck with that...

Oh, I did that. I very politely informed my boss (the guy who signs my timesheet) that I would not be able to finish Project A on time if my priorities kept on being changed. He informed me that we are all having to take on an additional workload since so many people are out sick.

Please note that so many people are out sock because he would not give one of the employees paid leave even though she had viral pneumonia and she decided to come into work anyways. I am just very glad that I have a strong immune system.

And this guy wonders why everyone gets lateral transfers at the first opportunity.
