State of the ficcage - Polyhex, TF/MCU Crossover, and Original Lovecraftian Fiction.

So that I have no idea what this is fic bit that I posted at the beginning of the month has morphed and I now know what it is. Originally it was heavily inspired by DragonLady76's Cracka story and it was kind of an little AU thing. Now it has morphed into something far bigger. I have decided that it is a loose-Bayverse/MCU crossover. I figure they have hinted at Stephen Strange in the MCU and we have seen that there are "greater than your ken" powers at work in that universe, so why couldn't there be something that turns giant robots into humans? I will admit that the theory of magical/Asgardian interference was also borrowed slightly from SciFiGrl47's Stories Told With Silence -- if you like MCU stories and don't mind heavy influence from the Comicsverse, go read her stuff. She's very good.

So, the plan is to have the Bayverse characters (as well as several of the others) somehow transformed into humans and have them have to learn how to deal while figuring out how to stop whatever has done this. And I have visions of Shockwave as a major villain. Dunno who will be the baddie from the MCU, but I will figure that out. ... and I have a horrible need to make Vortex a serial killer because I'm twisted that way.

As for other works:

Polyhex has stalled again, but it's not as heavy a stall as last time. I'm having a couple of issues with a combat sequence but I should be able to work through that. See, the issue is that I "see" my stories in my mind like little movies, and while I can see where I need to go and what I need to do, I am having issues with actually writing it out and having it make sense.

I have some plotting in place for Nightingale Effect that will continue that story for a bit. It'll be crack but I have some scenes in mind where a reprogrammed Smokey provides therapy to the Decepticons and then learns of what happened to him. Who knows, it may even lead to a total rebellion against Megatron. ... though that would require Smokey to be a good psychologist, which he really isn't.

And lastly, my original work, which I am tentatively naming The House of Broken Dolls The characters are coming together on that one and I may very well post some stuff on them. the problem is that I am falling in love with them all as I am writing them as just like any parent can't bear to hear criticism about their children, I can't bear to hear anything bad about mine. And, of course, that's something that I will just have to suck up because not everyone likes everything and I need to grow a thicker skin :)

So that's the extent of it. There are other bunniee, of course -- like the GlaDOS gets her hands on minibots and cassettes and has them run tests. For science. You monster. But that one is just a glimmer and total crack. We'll see if that one goes anywhere interesting.
