I'm suffering from a bit of writer's block - worst possible time, given that Robot Big Bang is coming up due soonish. So I figured I'd play along with the meme that's going around, take a break, and hopefully get the characters to start cooperating again.

I like character studies. :D Especially about the mechs we don't see all that often in depth. I do wonder what happens next, mostly because I absolutely understand the need to just vent sometimes, but do they talk to Prowl, just so HE has a better idea of what's going on? Do Smokescreen and Ratchet just, accidentally on purpose, let a few mechs see Ratchet teaching him to throw tools? LOL. Inquiring minds want to know!

You know, at the time I wrote this I had planned on following it up with something wherein they spoke to Prowl; or more accurately, where Ratchet spoke to Prowl. The plan was to have Ratchet and Prowl get into another argument "discussion" about the lack of communication between the Brass and the medical staff (those two really do seem to "discuss" a lot in my little universe). This leads to Ratchet explaining that the medics and Smokescreen can't just accept promotions like the Brass suggest because of the issues that promotion would cause.

I never ended up writing it because someone ended up writing something very similar to that. Of course, now I can't find the fic and I can't for the life of me remember who wrote it *shrugs* ... I may just write that follow up after all. And I think I might just include a section with Ratchet teaching Smokey how to toss spanners ;P

Well before anything can happen I need to finish my Robot Big Bang entry so that I don't leave my poor artist in the lurch. Unfortunately I've bitten off something that's turned quite large and while the first few chapters are ready to go and the remainder has been thoroughly plotted, right now some of the characters are refusing to cooperate (specifically Red Alert and Ironhide) ... so yeah. Uhm ... remind me of this bunny when the Polyhex Candidate starts getting posted?
