Snowflake Challenge - Day 10
Day 10
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
I'm not good at asking for things, so instead I will just put out there some things that I would love to see more of in my fandoms.
Transformers
1. More Ratchet/Megatron. This pairing is not loved nearly enough, probably because it's broken as all hell and generally requires either Dub-/Non-con or that they be wildly out of character. Still, is is one of the few canon(ish) pairings out there and I would love to see more of it.
2. More Smokescreen. He is not given nearly enough love as a character, generally appearing in either a supporting role or as the mustache-twirling villain of the piece. I would just love to see more Smokescreen as Diversionary tactician, staff shrink, and/or irredeemable gambler.
3. I would love, love, love to see more Transformers/Cthulhu Mythos stuff. There are a small handful of stories out there but not nearly enough. I mean, the idea of an ancient race fighting off an antediluvian terror? Yeah, that just screams Lovecraft, doesn't it?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
1. As with number 3 above, I would like to see more TMNT/Lovecraft. I mean, Notes from the Underground just screamed Lovecraft, Sons of the Silent Age may as well have been about the Deep Ones, and The Darkness Within? They could not have made that more Lovecraftian. Plus it needs a sequel.
2. I would love to see more Bad-ass Donatello fics out there. Mostly he is either the comic relief butt-monkey or used as the info-dump. Or he's a woobie. This is the turtle who killed Shredder in two different universes (Mirage issue 1 and 2003 cartoon ep. 73 "Same as it Never Was").
So, yeah, that's what I'd like to see. Oh, and if anyone knows of any Ninja Turtles or Transformers crochet patterns, could you point me in the direction of them?

As for Smokey, I am going to have to finally admit to myself that he plays the amoral jerk really damned well. I've even been trying my hand at that side of him myself lately. Truth is, it is more than a little fun.
