So they say that you should "write what you know", and that advice is often interpreted as "be knowledgeable about what you write". They also say that in order to write you need to read. So that being the case, I am going to be listening to a lot of Audible books. See, I don't have time or the attention span to read a book. I get easily distracted, and often at the end of the day I find that my eyes are far too strained to focus on black words on a white page - I'm trying a variety of options on computer screens and trying to convince my workplace that a monitor with reverse colours would be better.

Anyway, point is I'm going to listen to more books, mainly historical, pulp, and steampunk, and I'm going to see about tracking those books here along with a little "review". I'm not much of a reviewer, but I can at least write out what I thought of the book. Ideally I am aiming for about 50 "books" a year -- and I put books in quoted because I'm going to include fanfics and podcasts in this list (though I'm not sure how I'm going to track podcasts given that they tend to just be 20 minutes long.

So that's the plan. The first book will be "The Big Sleep" by Raymond Chandler.
