Summary: The Festival of Primus is a time for celebration and to reconnect with friends and lovers, and thanks to the war, it has not been observed in a long, long time. Too bad this year’s celebration is marred by a grievous attack on Smokescreen and no hint of who or what is responsible.

Author’s Note: This story was inspired by a discussion over on Tumblr between LadyDragon76, Iopele, 4LurveofNerds, and several others about the Festival of the Five, a celebration to the Cybertronian Gods that culminates in the winner being allowed to choose a mate. It just all got the juices flowing and that resulted (eventually) in this fic. This story also drew some inspiration from Ladydragon76’s Uninvited. And lastly, a big thank you (again) to Ladydragon76 and to the anon (“tooembarsedtologin”) for helping me out with one of the major early hurdles this story faced.

In my recent update I said that I had been hit with a bunny. Well the bunny has decided that it needs to be written, so I got down the first little bit before it runs away and hides again.

The gist of this AU is that Megatron failed to assassinate Sentinel Prime and now the corrupt council is even more so. This whole story is inspired by the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.
