I've read most (maybe all? I'm not sure) of your other stories featuring them and am still not sold on Ratchet and Prowl, and I've no idea why. I do really like how you handle them, though. And, that said, Wheeljack and Smokescreen's very intriguing. I'm not sure I'm sold on it yet, but I think I kind of like it.
I liked the beginning part when 'Jack was wrapped up in his own thoughts and mantra, and just the whole dialogue exchange between Wheeljack and Smokey.
Just two small things: Ratchet was life a flame. "Life" should be "like," right?
The other is just that I believe "Datsun" should be capitalized.
