Here I am at my first day of work, and already I got into trouble. Oh, not for the reason you might think. This place is laid back as anything. Work is easy and kinda plentiful (considering it´s the first day). The people are nice, friendly, and polite. There are no silly rules about pee breaks vs. smoking breaks. Nope, my problem is that I worked witht he millitary for too long. I kept referring to my bosses (corporate lawyers the lot of them) as Mr. and Ms. Apparently this is wrong. When among Corporate Lawyers, one must refer to them by their given name or nickname.
I´m happy.
Now, all I need to do is figure out this French keyboard and things will be cake. As long as I can stand teh drilling outside.
They are replacing the grout on the tile of Esplanade Laurier. I feel like I´m at the dentist´s office. ... out, my poor teeth ach at the sound of that god-forsaken drill.
But I am not complaining. I´ve always liked working for Treasury.
