Tales from the land of lawyers ....

Earlier this week one of the lawyers comes up to me with a book. He tells me that he needs to book photocopied. Not portions of it. Not certain passages. Nope, he needs all 500 pages copied. Two pages to a sheet, double sided, with low top boarder so that he can put them in a binder. He tells me that he's had this book out of the office library for two years and he really should return it. It seems that he wants his very own copy, but the book is out of print.

So I suppose that a lawyer can just ignore copyright? ... Turns out no. I love my boss. She told him politikly to kiss off.

It amazes me just how thoughtless some lawyers can be.
