This will be interesting, because the First Ammendment only protects the freedom of speech from any law passed by Congress. Nothing is said about laws passed by State legislatures. If the Attorney General is smart, there are ways that he will be able to circumvent the First Ammendment. I will be interested to see how the Supreme Court will deal with this.
But it all begs the question: Can the United States remain a Puritan Society in the face of modern mores and ethics?
