This wednesday I begin my excusion back to my maternal homeland.  I begin by leaving beautiful Manotick and head south-ish to the Ogdensburg-Prescott Bridge, then we swing east-ish until we get to the Adirondacks.  We'll then drive through the mountainous Adirondack Park for many hours, through some of the most picturesque country the east-coast has to offer.  We'll travel through Tupper Lake, Long Lake,  Indian Lake, and Wells.  We come out of the Adirondacks and connect to the I-90.

We'll pass through Schenectady, and skirt around Albany, and continue on until we reach Springfield.  Then we take a sharp south and head towards beautiful Hartford, Connecticut.  And south we continue, passing through tiny New England towns like Weathersfield, and Middletown, and Haddam, and Killingworth, and Kelseytown.  Until we finally see the Long Island Sound and get to Madison.

It will be a long eight hours, but it will be beautiful.
