(no subject)

Here I am, sitting at work, because the Government never closes, getting paid to crochet. Yup, that's what I'm doing. I would like to know who they think will call a Finance lawyer over the Christmas Holidays? And don't say, "well at least you're getting paid". I would be paid regardless. I have a great agency and they have a contract that states that temps get paid for a full day's work if they cannot work through no fault of their own (i.e. a a strike, power failure, fire drill, or if the office closes ove the holidays). I could be at home crochetting my new blanket in warmth or playing on my new Playstation 2 (yeah, Resident Evil X). Instead I'm in a cold office (they've turned the heat off for some reason) waiting for a phone call that will never come, because no one calls Finance lawyers over the holidays!
