A lawsuit is being leveled against the City of Detroit in a wrongful death case involving 911.
Six-year-old Robert Turner called 911 after his mother collapsed. His first call was at 6 pm. When he told the operator that his mother had passed out, the operator asked to speak to an adult. He called back three hours later and was told to stop playing with the phone. The police arrived after the second call, but by then it was too late.
911 claims that the child's voice faded in and out and it seemed like a hoax. What I would like to know is why an ambulance wasn't immediately sent out? There are stories of dogs and cats calling 911 and being taken seriously. SO why is a si-year-old less credible.
This is one court case that I hope wins.
