ETA 3: I just got back from the hospital. Last night, just after we left dad had an angina attack. Then he had another one at midnight. Dave knew about the first one but Dad made him promise not to tell us. Because of the severity of the attack they bumped him to the top of the list and gave him the angiogram this morning. As soon as the test was done he had another attack. They discovered that one of his arteries was 80% collapsed so they gave him the angioplasty right there and put in a stent.

We found out about all of this well after the fact. Mom learned about it when she went to the hospital to visit him at 2pm (visiting hours are 2-8) and she told me right away. We've learned that if he hadn't come in when he had he'd've had a major heart attack.

Anyway, now he's recovering. They've got him on blood thinners for the next several hours and he has to lay still so that the dye from the angiogram can be worked out of his system. The doctors think that he should be able to come home tomorrow. All the various teams that worked on him need to okay him before he leaves.
