Okay, so not to jinx things (oh god I hope I'm not jinxing this), but my car is fine. All the acceleration issues were caused by a loose air hose, and since they believe that this might have been their fault there's no charge for the service. The last time I brought it in they had to remove the air hose to do whatever it was they did and they think they may not have put it back on firmly enough. And since our roads are awful right now (potholes everywhere) I may have hit something and jarred it loose.
Honestly, this dealership has been really good. I haven't had any major problems with them, their prices for service seem comparable, and they haven't treated me like "the girl". Sadly you get that at a lot of car places. It's like there's this holdover from the 1950s, this attitude that if you present as female you can't possibly know anything about cars, engines, and all that "boy" stuff. So, now that it's time for a new car, I will certainly be considering them as an option for whatever I get. It'll be a lease so I won't be able to make it all wonderfully Decepticon, but that's okay.
