So February started horribly but got better about halfway through. We lost my eldest cat furbaby on February 3rd. She was almost 17 years old and was suffering from arthritis in all her joints and complete organ failure. It would have been cruel to keep her alive any longer. Thankfully the vets were wonderful - they gave us the time we needed and made sure we were in a comfortable room where we could say our final good byes. I ended up going through a bit of a depression after hat, but thing are better now.
I managed to write one thing - an untitled Smokey and Prowl fic. It's not yet complete complete, but I think it's a later chapter in an ongoing thing so I'm going to wait to officially post it. But it's done enough for now. So this means that I have now wrote in two months the same amount I wrote over the entire course of last year.
So, I have very little planned for this month. I think that things will work better if I aim low. And, yes, I know that that sounds terrible (Aim low and you'll never be disappointed?), but I think that if I aim for too much at the start of the month I will get overwhelmed and will do nothing.
I am currently working on a Smokescreen/Ratchet fic focusing on the cleaning of a medic's hands - the importance of it and the amount of trust required for a medic to allow someone else to clean them. I'm not yet sure if this will be set well into their relationship or if it will be early on. I will also work more on the plotting of my TF/MCU Humanized-TFs fics for Camp Nano (April). I have so many ideas for this and several scenes semi plotted out in my mind. My main problem is that I have a particular darling form a previous version that doesn't fit with this new incarnation.
Originally this story was going to be set more in the Bay-verse and was going to start with the Avengers showing up at Hoover Dam to find an all out brawl between the Autobots and Decepticons. That plotline no longer works as it's written and either needs to be cut completely or face a total rewrite in order to fit with the new ideas. Either way, we'll see how it works out. I might be able to come up with a reason to have the Bots and the Cons going at it at the dam. Who knows, maybe I'll jump off of an IDW Infiltration idea.
