Day 15

Talk about why you participated in Snowflake &/or what you got out of it.

I will say that I wasn't looking forward to Snowflake this year as much as I have in the past. This past year and the holidays weren't good for me. But, I made myself do it this year because I've done it for the last two years and it's kind of a tradition now - a way to properly start the calendar year. After all, I usually get my first fanfic written during Snowflake. As of this posting I still need to write something for day 10, but that's because I've been working on other things. So I guess Snowflake worked :) It got the creative juices running!

As for what I'm getting out of this (other that a creative boost), I think that Snowflake is a great way to break the walls between fandoms and getting people mingling. It can be really easy to stick with our own fandoms and never venture far from them. Snowflake offers us the chance to see things from other fandoms, get various recommendations, and just general broaden our horizons a little bit.
