So, the state of things. Creativity has been a roller coaster for me of late and I've finally found out why. Apparently I have no iron in my blood, and so, the docs have me on some pills to fix that issue. It's incredible what iron deficiency and B12 anemia will do to a body -- no, seriously, don't look it up. Thank god I avoided the dirt eating *shudder*. On the plus side though, now I can take on Magneto no problem. At least until he drops Griffith Stadium on me.
So, now that I'm not quite as exhausted all the time, my creativity is coming back a bit more regularly. I'm still having trouble with Polyhex, but that's more of a self-doubt thing than a lack of story. I just need to get some duct tape for my inner critic. I've joined Camp NaNo and I'm going to try to work on a piece that's been nibbling at me for a long time now. I'm just aiming for 10K and it'll be a series of interconnected short stories wherein Smokey provides counselling to the Decepticons. And then there's another strange not-so-little piece that I'm working on bit by bit; the TFs-as-human/Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover. That one's pure crack, but it's comming along.
I'm also aiming to try my hand again at the speedwriting prompts and the rare pairing prompts to get back into writing. I figure that even if they're not good enough to post, at least I'll be writing, right? Writing is a muscle and just like any other it needs to be exercised. And hopefully I'll become less worried about the quality too.
