I keep bitching about how I can't draw. But, really I doubt that there's a single person out there who just picked up a up a pen one day and created a masterpiece ... And "Voice of Fire" doesn't count. I can't just complain, I have to do something about it. I've been taking an online "course" and I can do a half decent perspective city scape but it's not enough. SO I broke down and picked up Drawing For Dummies tonight. All the other beginners drawing books assume that you already know how to draw, and that doesn't help me much.

So I now have the book and the sketch pad and the pencils. No more moaning. I may never get that good, but dammit I'm going to try because I have way too many pictures running around my head that are refusing to turn into words. ... And most sites won't let me post scripts.

Good on you for trying. :) I always moan about a lack of drawing ability, too, but I've never gotten up and actually, you know, done something about it. *rolls eyes* So, I hope you have success. Maybe if the book helps you, I'll give it a shot...

You should post some of the stuff you draw as you go along, so that you can sort of document your progress. Then, when you get really good, you can look back at your posts and laugh yourself silly, yet be proud of yourself at the same time. :)

I'll do that. I have two of my attempts on my DeviantArt account under the scraps. I'll keep on posting there. Mind you my computer and my scanner are not on speeking terms, but the digital photos of drawings weem to come out half decently.
