You know what would be very nice? It'd be wonderful if some people (American and otherwise - I'm looking at you Canada) would read the U.S. Constitution Ammendments before shooting their mouths off.
It's right there, in black and white. It's not even like it's couched in legalese.
The media seems to be the worst offender too. ... I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
I would also love it if people would get to know their general rights before bitching about it ... recently a Canadian woman was arrested in Georgia for speeding. Due to a soon to be passed law, she was held in jail until they could check out her papers and make sure there were no outstanding warrants. She's still bitching that they never read her her rights and they held her without cause. No one in the Canadian media has yet mentioned that the real world isn't television and that the cops can often hold you up to 48 hours before laying charges and don't have to read you your rights until they lay charges. The whole thing was ridiculous from the get go, but she's busy complaining that "OMG! It's not like this on Law and Order!"
... sory, that's been building up for a while. Feel free to ignore me ...
