wyntir_knightWell, I don't have a fic yet (that's being worked on), but I do have an announcement. I am slowly posting my fics over on An Archive of Our Own. If anyone's interested, they can be found here.
As for fics, I should probably put up a list of what I'm working on, for no other reason than to have it tracked and kept straight in my own mind. Maybe, just maybe, this will help against the random "Oooh shiny!" moments I have that take me away from whatever needs to be complete. And, hey, if you want to see an excerpt, let me know. I'll happily post.
In progress:
1. As yet untitled Jazz fic -- Jazz is captured by the Decepticons and reprogrammed through an undisclosed number of sessions with Bombshell. When he escapes, his conditioning is activated and he attempts assassinate Optimus Prime. It's up to Mirage and Smokescreen to work out their differences and find Jazz before he kills again or kills himself.
2. As yet unnamed Bumblebee/Cosmos series -- Based on the tformers100 prompt "Space", this series of ten ficlets follow the relationship between BB and Cosmos from initial meeting to wherever it ends up.
3. As yet unnamed Trailbreaker/Silverbolt fic -- This story will follow the relationship between the two and the issues they will face with the Aerialbots and the general negative feelings the other Autobots feel toward the relationship. After all, the age difference between TB and Bolt is astronomical.
4. Revival -- This story is about how and why the Autobots who were on data crystals were rebuilt (Smokescreen, Tracks, Hoist, Grapple, and Skids). The gist of it is that they Ark carried hundreds of additional troops on crystalline containment vessels when they left Cybertron, but now after years of being on Earth, they discover that the crystals have been purposefully smashed by an unknown party. The crew needs to figure out who did it and why and potentially get vengeance, while the new crew members needs to acclimatize themselves to a new world after having been in storage for millenia.
5. Return to Darkness -- This is a TMNT fic. I have it partly up and posted on FFNet, but the bunny ran away on me after only a few chapters. I'm endeavouring to breath some new life into it and get the ball rolling again.
6. Life After Death -- This was to be a fic dealing with what happened to those who died in TF:TM after they were revived on the far side of the galaxy. It was inspired by Straya's Second Chances, but the bunny died when I realized I was getting too close to her original. I'm now trying to rewrite it and make it work. -- By the way Second Chances is really good. I can't recommend it enough. Go read it if you haven't already!
7. Metamorphosis -- This was supposed to be a replacement for Season 3 of the G1 series. I got pretty far and it was going in an interesting direction, but it was all over the place with no real end point, so I pulled it down. Now I'm trying to rewrite it. The plot was threefold:
a) Smokescreen learns that Galvatron is not actually Megatron, but instead a changeling of a sort and sets out to recover Megatron's mind from the heart of Unicron and bring him and his Lieutenants back to life.
b) Optimus Prime is back but the Matrix is rejecting him. It has to be passed back to a very reluctant Hot Rod before it's too late. The Matrix has a warning of impending doom that only Rodimus can interpret.
c) Galvatron's insanity is increasing and he's driving the Decepticons into the ground. He and his Lieutenants learn that they are not who they think they are, and instead are true Lieutenants to Unicron. They must work to bring the unmaker back ...
d) Once A and B were resolved I was planning on having the Autobots and Decepticons forced into a truce to save the known Universe from the risen Unicron while also dealing with Primus, who may not actually be on their side.
Barely started or still in the bunny stage:
1. As yet untitled Smokescreen-Bluestreak fic -- Blue is refusing to recharge and, as such, isn't updating his patches and isn't running at optimal performance. Ratchet ends up sending him to Smokescreen for a much needed psych eval.
2. Blustreak/Hound - Dance with your demons -- This one is shaping into a non-slashy fic between Hound and Blue. When they both find themselves unable to recharge late one night, they help each other work through their fears and insecurities Hound helps Blue realize he's not alone.
3. Smokescreen-Ratchet -- Who does the shrink talk to when he needs analyzing?
4. Transformers/Call of Cthulhu crossover -- This was to be a Nightbeat/Muzzle centric story where they investigate a small town in New England where there are reports of giant monsters walking in the woods. Nightbeat thinks that he's dealing with cultists.
And that's that. There are a few other bunnies, but they're so amorphous that I can't really get anything down but a pairing and prompt. Oh, and there's the non-fanfic novel that refuses to let itself be written. But that's something else entirely.
