Baby News!
First things first; my sister-in-law got her second and last ultrasound done the other day. Her baby is healthy and well, and is a little girl. My niece shall be named Addison MacKenzie (or a variant spelling thereof). The ultrasound picture is incredible. They didn't shell out the extra money for one of the digitally enhanced pictures, but even so, yu can see her little fingers and her tiny little lips! My niece is a real baby and no longer a grain of rice!
Christine, int he meantime, is a little concerned about everything. It's first time mommy nerves, I think. She's worried that she's gaining too much weight, she's worried that she can't feel the baby move (the placenta is in the front so that's not surprising), she's worried that she's still getting a bit of morning sickness in her second trimester, ... and the list goes on. The doctor assures her that both she and the baby are totally healthy though; so everything is good.
My babies are losing their tiny little minds!
Maybe it's the left over joy from Christmas, but my babies -- no, wait, my boys -- are loosing their minds.
Keegan has decided that the box the bills go into is the best place in the world. He lies in the pile of paid bills, rolling around on them, and kneeding the air while purring madly. Apparently he was an accountant in a former life?
And I think that my little Logan wants to be an interior decorator or something. I woke up this morning and discovered that he had brought a full package of wrapping tissue from the basement. He has shredded all of it and placed it strategicly around the living and dining rooms. He's also brought up several plastic bags and has hidden his toy mice in them.
I will admit that they're being creative about their fun, which is good. But these new playthings are just downright bizzarre.
And on a side note, I'm thinking of unofficially changing Logan's name to Bluestreak. He's talking constantly, he's incredibly fast (he almost caught a squirrel the other day), he's very affectionate and always wants to cuddle, he's nervous (apparently we're planning on turning him into a hat), and he's turning the most lovely shade of grey. It's almost a blue silver. Yes, I do believe that my little bluepoint will have to be re-christened.
To-Do List (or things I must do before the week is out):
- Get US passort renewed --Fill out form; get photos taken; get a cheque for $60 USD; mail forms, money, and passport to the proper office.
- Make an appointment for Scout's checkup
- Look into arrangements for my French testing
... and there's something I'm forgetting ...? Oh well, it will come back to me.
