This is a particularly special picture to me. It features my eldest (Tika) and my youngest (Logan).
Logan just worships Tika. He follows her around, he tries to sleep next to her, he tries to play with her, and he comforted her when she lost her leg. Between you and me, I think he wants to marry her when he grows up.
Tika, however, dislikes him. She doesn't hate him like she does Keegan, but she does find him to be a bit too forward.
So when I found them lying on my computer chair, backs touching, I just had to get a picture of them. It shows that she is finally starting to accept her baby brother. It's only taken her two years.

Date: 16 Jan 2008 19:40 (UTC)Your story reminds me of our two cats. When we brought Winkie home, PJ detested him. He screamed at Winkie, and you'd have thought that he was being killed given the ear-shattering volume of the screaming and the growling and the hissing. (Such a drama queen!) It took him about a year to get over it. Winkie, of course, was all cluelessness. PJ would scream, and Wink would look at him as if saying, "What? What you yelling about? I'm just sitting here!" They're still not friends, but we have caught them sleeping in close proximity from time to time. It's very cute when they do that. :)
Oddly enough, when we brought the puppy home this summer, PJ didn't have a problem with him at all. Probably because he's getting old and frail, poor guy. He just gives Banjo a whack every now and then when Banjo sticks his face too close, which sends the 60-pound "puppy" running for cover. :)
