I had a strange dream last night. ...

I was caught up in a flood, but I was in water, so I felt comfortable and completely at home (I've always found that off since I get seasick). I was following a creature with a huge, thick tail. It was black and scaly with a ridge ont he back. It basically looked and moved like a crocodile tail but it was much larger. After a time, I realized that I was not swimming after the beast, but was caught up in its wake. As the dream continued I was able to make out more of this animal. It was larger than a crocodile, wuth massive sharp jaws, large enough to snap a shark in two. It was obviously older than a croc, more ancient, prehistoric.

As fearce and monsterous this animal was, I felt comfortable, like it was a mothering presence, like it was leading me somewhere.

Then Tika started acting up, and woke me up. She wanted me to opent he blinds, and open the door, and let her under the covers, and cuddle with her.

I had to write down the dream before I forgot it again (it only just came back to me in full while I was eating lunch).
