Where to begin ...
The interview went. I won't say it went well, since I blanked on the first question and I can't even remember what I said as an answer. But the other "What would you do if" questions went well, so we'll see. They're hoping to finish the process by April 1st and have folks into positions in the next fiscal year. So I've got my fingers crossed and we'll see. Thank you all for your wishes of luck :)
When I got back from my interview however, I got the news that my Grandfather had passed away in the night. My parents had kept that from me so that it wouldn't affect my interview. My mother and I are heading back to Madison on Thursday for the funeral and we'll be back on Saturday. Hopefully things are okay at home while we're away. Dad can't travel because of his heart and he isn't allowed to drive yet, Dave can't drive because he just had a hernia operation and can't sit up straight, and Christine just started her third trimester and her parents are out of town. ... Right now I'm trying very hard not to burst into tears at my desk. Right now I'm just putting one foot in front of the other, going about my tasks like some kind of automaton.
