Apparently, Pope John Paul II is incorruptible. At least that's what The Vatican is allowing people to believe. It's been a week since John Paul's death, and there are still no signs of decomposition. The Vatican is claiming that he wasn't embalmed, but they are failing to mention that Popes are mummified beginning with an Egyptian style embalming process. Part of the reason for this is to ensure that the bodies seem incorruptible, but its also so that the Popes have bodies to ascend with when the Rapture happens.
Also, I want to clear one thing up that's been pissing me off about the media coverage of the choosing of a new Pope. The next Pope does not have to be from the council of Cardinals. They can choose anyone they feel like. There have been both monks and political figures in the position of Pope in the past. The last several Popes have been Cardinals, but that doesn't been that they have to be.
