Robot Big Bang update. Sort of.

And it's official. I have dropped out of Robot Big Bang. I am nowhere near finished and I have no beta. Plus in a desperate attempt the make the fic work I started to hack and slash at the content and I think that had I finished I wouldn't have been at all happy with the results. I overreached and next year I will know better.

So the plan is to get back to working on the original and to post in my own time once it's closer to complete and I've had time to go over it and work out the inevitable issues.

I'm sorry it didn't work out with the challenge, but I hope it means you'll be more satisfied with the story in the end. I've dropped out of challenges before, and it's never nice at the time, but it always seems to have been the right decision. Anyway, just wanted to say that I can sympathise, and best of luck getting it finished in your own time :)

Thanks. I'm hoping that now that the pressure is off I'm hoping that the muses will come back and I'll be able to get the draft completed early next month and get posting starting shortly thereafter. I have the first eleven chapters pretty much ready to go so we'll see...
